Janelle Schiecke is an indie horror author based in New Jersey who has always had a love of writing, and she's been an avid reader all her life.
The works of Stephen King and Clive Barker heavily influenced her writing style, introducing her to the power of captivating and spine-chilling stories.
Before becoming an author, Janelle was a full-time and freelance editor for trade magazines and books alike. Her love of editing transferred to her authorship, where she takes pride in creating enjoyable characters and embellishing words.
It is an honor for her to create stories for readers to escape into—and there will always be some scares!
When she is not writing, Janelle enjoys spending time with her husband and son and catching up on the latest in streaming series and movies.
These are my fur babies Maui and Kai, and Kai is in the foreground.
They're always cuddling together, and when I'm reading a new book—which I always am—the bonus is they cuddle with me!
As you probably guessed, horror is my favorite genre to read. I've owned Pet Sematary and The Witching Hour the longest, so they're definitely the most worn.
Cafe lattes are my favorite coffee treats. I also love that gorgeous latte art!
